  1. It's Over

From the recording Hooray for the Bad Guy!

This was an earlier attempt at recording "A Torturous Ride." I didn't like how it sounded with the original vocals/lyrics, but I was (mostly) keen on the music, & decided maybe it could somehow be used as a "companion piece" to "Torturous Ride" later on in the album. I improvised what would be the "lead vocals" for this track one grim, hopeless afternoon, stoned & mumbling into the mic about pain, depression, the emptiness of existence, all that good stuff that "Bad Guy!" the album is fundamentally rooted in. Mostly though I just liked my saxophone playing during the instrumental section (I really, really, don't know how to play saxophone, even more than I don't know how to play clarinet or trombone). I think that's largely what compelled me to keep this track on the roster in the end.
